As was probably mentioned last week, Deaf Fret is setting up recording sessions to capture the brilliance of drummer Martin Griffith on six new songs from Sam Macdonald.
It looks like the end of July is a go situation - will keep you posted of course.

Ross Merrin has been reflecting this week on the nature of his recording equipment, extolling the virtue of the older, straight-forward digital multitracker that he is really familiar with rather than overly complicated newer gear (he may be excusing his technophobia by making it a virtue of course).
He takes the teasing in good humour but points out how easy it is to just pick up his gear and go and record anywhere.
